Hello Papercrafters and Friends!

Happy New Year and Welcome to my journey! I “dabbled” with scrapbooking for about 10 years. This means I would arrange vacation photos on pages, put down a few simple embellishments, and give it a title. Nothing real artistic or elaborate. Then two years ago, I was introduced to an online group of papercrafters who take scrapbooking and cardmaking to a totally different level!!! Therefore, while I’m not “new” to the craft, I’m definitely a “novice” to artistic papercrafting. This is my journey as a rank beginner who started with a burning desire to learn and very minimal tools — paper, scissors, adhesive, stickers, and a few templates.  I’ll share some of those early works with you.  I’ve now progressed to having favorite tools — my eBosser, thin dies, and Copic markers — and favorite teachers, Suzanne J. Dean and Christina Griffiths.

Please follow me, encourage me, teach me, and even (with gentleness) correct me! And I’ll share the techniques I learn, the crafters who inspire me, and the tools and products that I use.

Thanks for sharing!

This is an example of my Clean & Simple scrapbook style. Since being introduced to more experienced papercrafters, I've started using "bling".

My first card. This was also my first use of Stickles, a border punch, Copic markers, and wafer thin dies.

Congratulations on your new blog. Great hats layout. I like your first card too. You may have to give up the “novice” label. I’m a clean and simple cardmaker too, but I resist bling when the design image is strong. I’m looking forward to watching you blossom.
